Maezawa here with some answers.
> Do all the club staff members know one another personally?
They sometimes get together once a year for an in-house training session.
The travel and accommodation costs involved in bringing everyone together in one place are enormous, and from a purely practical standpoint, you might think it’s wasteful. But apparently, they consider meeting face-to-face important.
In other words, they believe it’s worth spending several million yen on expenses.
> Do you hold anything like a beauty pageant?
I’m not sure what you mean. Are you suggesting that Universe should host a beauty pageant?
There are no plans for one at the moment, though.
> If you would publish the branch names and staff members’ names, I’d visit branches in other prefectures and, while I’m there, try offering to meet some female members—or, if I got lucky, even the staff.
I’m Maezawa from Tokyo.
I’m looking forward to your offer. (笑)
Incidentally, dating offers to female staff aren’t possible. Apparently, there are men who would like to do that, though.
Meeting the staff is easy.
If you say, “I’d like to bring you a gift—could I give it to you on such-and-such a date?” you can meet them at a station near the branch. Sometimes they may even suggest talking for a bit at a café while you’re there.
Alternatively, black-level members can arrange face-to-face meetings with staff. So if you tell the branch you’d like to discuss making an offer to a female member, you can meet the staff for a consultation.
If your goal is to date a female staff member, though, please give up.
