That said, even when checking the database, there’s no way to tell whether a particular date took place during a business trip. So I’ve simply calculated, roughly, the percentage of Tokyo men who went on dates with women from outside Tokyo.
The dates included were from the full year of 2018.
To cut to the chase, the figure was 31.6%.
Here’s the breakdown by branch:
Number of dates Women’s branch
4350 Tokyo
149 Nagoya
108 Fukuoka
87 Sapporo
259 Osaka
59 Sendai
525 Yokohama
9 Niigata
44 Kyoto
49 International
328 Omiya
267 Chiba
39 Kobe
33 Hiroshima
54 Okinawa
However, not everyone who makes offers to women at regional branches is necessarily traveling for business.
Also, Omiya, Yokohama, and Chiba are all close to Tokyo, so it seems less likely that those dates were business-trip related...
Most of the women at the International branch also appear to live in Tokyo, so let’s exclude them from this calculation as well.
When I recalculate the figure after excluding those four branches, it comes to 13.2%.
My guess is that this figure is probably closer to the actual percentage.
