Maezawa here. The club’s basic policy is not to disclose how many offers a woman has received. I believe this is because a woman might want to say, “I’ve already received several offers,” even if yours was actually her first. Or, even if she has received several offers, she might want to tell you, “You’re my first.” For that reason, we’re not supposed to tell women when they have received zero offers, either. That said, staff are also expected to make sure that women who aren’t receiving offers do eventually get one. So I assume branch managers are doing this at their own discretion as a way to help generate offers. Whether you see that as a branch doing something the company prohibits and therefore acting improperly, or as a branch working hard for its members, I’m not sure. It’s difficult to ask branch managers about something the company officially prohibits, but since Tokyo is nearby, I’ll discreetly ask them about it. Beyond that, I suppose it depends on what the branch managers who see this Q&A decide to do. The best option would be to make your request directly to the branch, so you may want to let them know what you’d like.
