But I’m not very materialistic, and since cash would honestly be more helpful for running my own business, I can’t help feeling that way... Although I’m already very grateful for what I receive now. Until now, I’ve gone along with everything he said, dressing the way he requested and preparing homemade sweets every time. But since he says I’m a woman unlike anyone else he’s met, I realized it may be important to show him more sides of myself—not just my serious, accommodating side. We’ve already made plans through August, and he’s even booked the accommodations I wanted, so I don’t think he’ll cut things off anytime soon. Still, it will be his birthday before then, so I’ll stay focused and make sure to celebrate it properly. Making him jealous is one possible tactic, but I’ll also think of different ways to be attentive and supportive, rather than relying on that alone. Your advice helped me get back to basics.
