Maezawa here. I believe you’re asking whether there are cases where someone may not even be invited to an interview. As a rule, anyone is welcome to come in for an interview. That said, if you’re over 50, we may ask to see a photo first. Otherwise, most applicants come to one of our branches, where the staff member conducting the interview makes the decision. However, if you send us a photo beforehand saying, “I’m not confident, so please decide based on my photo first,” there is a chance we may turn you down based on that photo. If you don’t send a photo, we’ll make the decision during the interview, so you might still be able to register. Also, if you ask when applying, “I weigh 100 kg—is that okay?” there’s a chance we may turn you down before the interview. But if you simply submit your application without mentioning anything, we can make the decision after meeting you in person.
