Maezawa here with an answer. Whether you step on the scale during a reshoot is entirely up to you. In fact, you can even decline to be weighed during the initial interview. So why do they measure your weight? Because some men may complain, saying things like, “This woman is fudging her weight.” It seems strange that they would know without a scale, but apparently they steer the conversation like a leading interrogation until the woman admits something like, “I’m actually fudging it by just a little.” A difference of just a few kilograms apparently matters a lot, and it can lead to complaints. However, if the weight was measured rather than self-reported, those kinds of complaints won’t arise. Even if you gain weight afterward, no one is likely to make an issue of it. So it’s probably better to have your weight measured, but it’s entirely optional, and you can decline if you prefer.
