When I called because I wanted to interview for Universe Club, I was told that anyone who had failed once couldn’t apply again. Have the rules changed?
It’s true that if I were really attractive, I wouldn’t have failed the interview, would I? I was being conceited. You’ve opened my eyes. Thank you.
To Tsubaki:
I’ll keep working on improving myself on the inside.
Thank you.
If you fail the interview, the interviewer may designate you as ineligible to reapply.
I assume this is usually because your attitude during the interview was particularly poor or something similar.
If you contact Maezawa through the inquiry form below the question box, I can look into whether such a designation was made.
It’s also possible that no such restriction was placed, but I misunderstood the situation and told you that you couldn’t apply a second time simply because you had failed once.
Alternatively, if it’s only been a few months since you failed the interview, your result may not change much—since your appearance probably hasn’t changed significantly—and that may be why your interview request was declined.
I should be able to find out by looking into it, so please contact me first.
If you don’t receive a reply after about three days, your message probably didn’t come through, so please send it again.
Update 9/15: I haven’t received any contact so far. Did you have any idea why you failed?
Update 9/22: I heard back from them and arranged for them to take the interview again.
