For some reason, though, that’s exactly how it is.
When I go to talk things over in disputes involving property boundaries, inheritances, all kinds of conflicts, or situations where everyone’s obviously going to end up fighting, somehow—before I even say a word—they seem to calm down and relax.
Looking back, it really does seem like they already feel reassured just by seeing me.
Of course, we talk things through from there, but if the other person is already coming at me furiously, there’s no way simply talking will fix it. The reason things always end peacefully is probably that they’ve already calmed down and feel reassured before hearing me out, which makes them willing to listen.
I think a lot can be conveyed through the atmosphere, not just through what you say.
People can’t easily shake the image or preconceptions they form about someone, so first impressions really matter. I think the way you live your life shows in your expression and your eyes…
With papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I feel like you can get a pretty good read on someone from the atmosphere they give off at first glance. Something about them comes through. For better or worse—especially whether they seem like the kind of person who would truly treat women well.
If my past answers made me seem like a handsome, chivalrous gentleman, then I’m afraid your judgment is questionable—and you’ll probably only attract the worst kind of papa (╥ω╥`)
