If you’re worried about being recognized, I definitely recommend SALON! Since they don’t use photos, there’s no risk of being identified.
It’s extremely unlikely that you’d randomly be matched with someone you know, so I don’t think you need to worry about being recognized.
If you’re still concerned, I suppose your options are to register with a service that doesn’t require photos, or register without uploading one.
There are also occasional questions here from women saying that men have shown their photos to other people. So as long as you’re uploading a photo, I think it’s best to assume that there’s no absolute guarantee of privacy.
