I left Universe several years ago—could they still be using my photos? At the time, I was a secret woman.

I’m not sure what you mean by “using the photos,” but once you withdraw, your profile will disappear from the women’s listings. If your account was set to secret, it wasn’t visible even while you were a member, so I’m not really sure what you mean by “using” them...

I don’t think Universe would continue using them. As Taro mentioned, only women who have been confirmed to remain active for around six months and have a reliable activity rate are listed. Even when I’ve made offers to women who registered a year ago, I’ve never had a case where I was told, “Actually, we can’t get in touch with her.” And since secret women are introduced to black-status men, it wouldn’t really make sense for them to recommend women who have already quit. That said, because their photos are posted online, unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that someone won’t take screenshots and misuse them. It might be a good idea to think in advance about how you would respond if a friend or someone else brought it up.

They probably don’t use them, I’d say. It could happen at places run more like adult entertainment establishments, but at least as far as Universe is concerned, I don’t think so. They seem to properly check whether their female members are active and remove inactive women from the listings. Right after joining, I looked through the profiles of every female member, and I was impressed to find that there were almost no women who hadn’t been active within the past year. That was a clear difference from other dating clubs. It wouldn’t be possible without the club carefully checking and removing inactive profiles. So I think the possibility of what you’re asking about happening is extremely low. Taro
