If her profile says she likes meat, I think it’s fine to suggest it.
If she hasn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t go there for the first meeting. I’d ask her first, and if she says she’d like to go, then I’d take her.

I’ve taken several women on yakiniku dates for our first meeting when they listed meat as one of their favorite foods on their profiles. I choose a smoke-free yakiniku restaurant with private rooms, like Yūgentei.
I arrange to meet at the restaurant and let her know in advance that we’re planning to go there, so I assume she’ll come prepared to have yakiniku. If she really isn’t comfortable with it, she’ll reply that she’d rather not have barbecue.

I’m totally fine with it… though I do wonder if the smell might cling to your clothes.
Doesn’t the profile list their favorite foods? If they have yakiniku listed, it should be fine, right?
Though personally, I’d be happier with teppanyaki than yakiniku.
