I think it’s rude, and since I’ve never treated anyone that way myself, I can’t say what they really mean.
That said, even in the business world, there are senior people who behave like this, so I assume it’s probably the same kind of attitude.
My business is doing fine without having to deal with people like that, so I politely decline and choose to associate with people I genuinely want to spend time with.
I’m an entrepreneur in my 30s, and the people I associate with are mostly entrepreneurs in their 40s to 80s. Although we’re different genders, I feel we have a lot in common, so I may be projecting a little—but I can relate.

I wonder why he put it that way. You won’t know what he really meant unless you ask your papa (a male supporter). Maybe he simply misspoke and meant, “〇 yen is okay, right?”
If he makes any other strange comments, I think it would be best to end things.
