If he said that, then I suppose you weren’t quite a good enough match for him to want to meet even when he was sick. It can’t be helped. Even if he wasn’t the right person for you, I’m sure you’ll be a perfect match for someone else. Still, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sending him a message saying, “I’d love to see you again.”
