For example, I can buy small household items myself (even little things I urgently want), and I’d love to have a chandelier in my room—but it would be awkward to say that, right? I don’t want to give him my address, either… Would it be better to say, “No, not really~”? But then I wonder if that might be a bad answer if he’s actually looking forward to going shopping for me. I keep overthinking it!

I tailor it to the person. If he seems to enjoy buying clothes, I ask for clothes; if he likes buying designer items, I ask for those; and if he wants to help support my daily life, I ask for household necessities. But at first, start with a small amount. Whether it’s work or anything else, you’re more likely to succeed by starting with a small request and gradually increasing it.

First, I think it would be good to thank him for asking, “Is there anything you want?” Since you don’t need anything right now, you could go shopping together on your next date and say, “You asked me before if there was anything I wanted—this is what I’d like♪” when you find something you like.
