Rather than judging people by their background or education, try looking at what they’re doing now and what they’re trying to accomplish. It may change the way you see people.
If you feel sad that all anyone praises you for is being cute or pretty, try doing something you genuinely want to do. Someone who takes an interest in it might compliment you by saying, “That’s a great project, haha.”
It might be good to take a step outside your current environment and see what happens.

Were you trying to write a poem?
Maybe you don’t know this because you’ve never done papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), but people can compliment you on things besides being cute or pretty.
Personally, I probably compliment someone on being good at oral or on their personality more than I compliment them on being cute or pretty—by more than ten times.
It’s debatable whether this even counts as a question, and the premise of the question also seems mistaken.
