Should I find out whether I’m warm-toned or cool-toned, and what my body type is? Have you looked into it? It can get pretty expensive, right…

I haven’t looked into it~ I have my own preferences when it comes to clothes, bags, and things like that, so I don’t buy something just because it’s trendy or designer. That’s why, when I go shopping, I spend the whole day shopping by myself(笑)

Since I have a dark complexion, people often recommend cosmetics and orange-toned lipstick to me. A hairstylist who was studying personal color analysis asked if they could take a look, so I let them do it—and they told me I was an Autumn. However, after trying on and buying various clothes and looking at which ones I actually wore, I felt that Autumn didn’t really fit me. Later, I got to know someone important in the Personal Color Association(笑), and had them analyze me again. I visited their home, and they did it for free, although I’m sure it normally costs quite a bit. They told me I was a Winter. In the end, the colors I had thought suited me were the right ones after all. So I don’t think the things you personally like or feel look good on you are necessarily wrong. If you lack confidence in yourself and want to change, or you’re worried because you aren’t getting any offers right now, it might be worth trying. But I think personal color is only one of many factors. Marika Oh, but once I knew clearly which colors didn’t suit me, the analysis did help with decluttering. I was able to get rid of expensive clothes I never wore because I realized it was simply because they didn’t suit me.

I took a personal color analysis and makeup class, and found both really helpful. I could never tell whether I was warm- or cool-toned, so I often ended up making mistakes with clothes and cosmetics. The analysis showed that I’m a “Summer Cool” with “Spring Warm” as my secondary season, and that bright colors suit me best while dark colors make me look washed out. Since then, I’ve stopped wasting money on things that don’t suit me. My body type is fairly easy to recognize, so I didn’t get a body-type analysis, but I dress in ways that suit a Wave frame. A fashion expert once said, “There’s no such thing as inherently fashionable clothing. Clothes that make you look well-proportioned are simply what make you look fashionable.” That really made sense to me. If you’re the kind of person who has no idea what suits you, I think you’d enjoy getting an analysis like I did.

I haven’t looked into it. It’s the thing about which colors and shapes suit you, right? I want to wear the colors and styles I like, so I don’t feel like looking into it.

I don’t think you need to look into it, so I haven’t.
