Some people may look like they’re doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) no matter what brands they carry, while others don’t.
I think it’s best to carry what you genuinely want, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

I’d say a Birkin is more associated with Ginza hostesses than with papa-katsu. Apparently, it’s nicknamed the “Ginza backpack.”
A man who runs a lounge in Roppongi told me that when he sees a woman carrying a Celine Luggage bag, he assumes she may work in nightlife and be earning fairly well. I feel like it was also popular in the papa-katsu scene a few years ago.
