I went all-in with papa-katsu and agreed to unprotected sex so they’d continue seeing me long-term, but I think I may be pregnant. If I don’t know who the father is, should I report it to everyone I’ve been with, just in case? When should I tell them? I plan to terminate the pregnancy, but I want to receive compensation.

Tell him you might be pregnant—if he had unprotected sex, that should serve as a warning to him. But if you start asking him for compensation or money for an abortion, he may become defensive, leaving you feeling even worse. Once you’ve confirmed the pregnancy, pay for the abortion yourself and take this as a lesson.

You chose to have unprotected sex yourself, didn’t you? Whether you got pregnant or not isn’t the man’s fault, is it? And if you don’t even know who the father is, shouldn’t you take responsibility for your own actions? It would be heartbreaking for a child to be born to such a foolish mother. Please go to the hospital as soon as possible. Can you really claim compensation for something you recklessly chose to do yourself?

I agree with what Maezawa-san said… First, take a pregnancy test from a drugstore or somewhere similar. If it looks like you’re pregnant, you should go to the hospital. Even if you decide to have the procedure, there will probably be things you need to prepare, including consent forms and the cost. I’ve never had the procedure myself, so I’m not sure about the steps, but the cost and deadline may vary by hospital, so I think it’s better to act quickly. The fact that you don’t know who the other person is makes things difficult. For now, could you cover the cost with the allowances you’ve received so far? Of course, I think you should talk to the man and have him pay for the procedure, but if you don’t know who he is, you don’t know whom to contact. Please take good care of yourself first.

> But if you don’t know who it was, should you at least tell everyone you’ve been involved with? With that approach, they may all assume it wasn’t them. I think the worst thing would be not being able to identify who it was. > I’m planning to have an abortion, but I’d like to receive compensation. If you intended to continue the arrangement long-term, I think it would be better not to mention the other men and instead say something like, “I’m pregnant, but I can’t raise the baby. Could you lend me the money for the abortion?” That way, he may be more willing to continue supporting you. Since it would be a loan, you’d technically have to pay it back. You could suggest reducing your allowance by 10,000 yen each time and using that to repay him. Some men might even say, “I’ll cover it, so you don’t need to do that.” If you’ve already decided to risk everything, I think you should be equally open about this. Tell him that you really care about him but can’t raise the child, and try to appeal to his compassion. Some papas may disappear and stop responding, but I think there are kind ones too. Rather than asking for compensation, I think it would be better to simply ask him to help cover the cost of the abortion. > When should I tell him? Once a store-bought pregnancy test shows a positive line, I think you should send him a photo and tell him. He may think it might not be his, but you could also tell him something like, “You’re the only person I can rely on.” If you can find a papa who continues supporting you after this, it may not end up being entirely negative. I know this must be difficult, but I hope you find the best possible solution.

First, confirm whether or not you’re pregnant. Go to the hospital immediately. Deal with everything else after that. If it was consensual, compensation for emotional damages is generally much lower than you might expect. Based on what you’ve written, depending on how you approach the situation, I suspect there’s even a possibility that the person asking the question could be sued. In any case, you’re not a professional, so proceed carefully—for example, by consulting an expert. It may be difficult, but this is to protect your own body. P.S. I’m no expert, but a pregnancy test is really only a temporary reassurance. Even if it shows a positive result, it won’t resolve anything. The other person will just tell you, “Go see a doctor.” Please get to an obstetrician-gynecologist as soon as possible. As Ayase Nana said, if it was consensual, it probably wouldn’t qualify as compensation for emotional damages. You’ll also need professional advice—such as from a lawyer—about what to do after the pregnancy has been confirmed.

That’s incredibly reckless. I don’t know what you should do if you don’t know who the father is. I’ve heard that the earlier an abortion is performed, the less strain it puts on the mother’s body. I think it’s better to act sooner rather than later.
