How many partners can you have had and still truthfully say you have little experience with men? I was raised in an all-girls school through high school, so I had no contact with the opposite sex until high school. In the five years from my first year of high school to now (I’m 20 and a sophomore in college), I’ve had 35 people I’ve kissed or gone further with, according to my notes. If I include people I only went on dates with, the number is over 200. It’s true that I was raised at an elite all-girls school, so whenever I mention my school, people generally assume I’ve never had any experience with men. I don’t correct them, because it’s true that the only chances I had to talk to men were through boyfriends or friends-with-benefits. But surely having kissed or gone further with 35 people doesn’t count as having little experience with men, right? If we’re only counting the number of people I’ve had sex with, it’s not 35 but 30. I’ve had about 10 boyfriends, and the rest were papas (male supporters) and friends-with-benefits. I don’t intend to answer if someone asks about my number of partners, but speaking generally, how many partners would people consider “little experience with men” for a 20-year-old college student?
