I often meet women for the first time, hit it off, and make plans to see each other again. We exchange LINE contacts, but every one of them leaves my messages unread for about a week. I usually leave it alone, assuming they’ll reply eventually, but it happens so consistently that I’m wondering whether there’s some kind of rule. Or is there just a shared understanding that replying is a hassle because it’s a financial arrangement? I’d appreciate any insight.

They may all have seen the person asking the question as someone they didn’t like. I say this because I’ve never heard similar stories from other men. In other words, if most women normally respond properly, but every woman the questioner has met leaves their messages unread for about a week, it’s more reasonable to think the problem lies with the questioner. It’s also possible that a few bad reviews are gradually adding up. What could be wrong? The meeting location? The restaurant? The conversation? The amount of the allowance? Your appearance and grooming? I think you should take a comprehensive look at all of these factors.

Maybe he really doesn’t like you. Since it’s a financial arrangement, he’d usually reply quickly—especially at the beginning.

If you’re going to get a reply in a week anyway, the LINE messages just feel annoying. And if you still haven’t heard back after a week, I’d say they probably have no intention of meeting. Marika

It depends on the woman, but if your next date is already set, she may simply not want to exchange unnecessary messages. Some women hide the chat so their boyfriend or someone else won’t find out, and only check it when confirming things shortly before the date. Fuu’s monthly arrangement usually replies by the next day at the latest, though. Are you sending a lot of messages about things that don’t really matter? You may be getting on her nerves.

>“After meeting the women for the first time, things went pretty well…” Unless the questioner is exceptionally ugly and creepy, things are bound to go “pretty well.” Absolutely, one hundred percent. Isn’t that obvious? These women are dating middle-aged men they don’t even like because they want an allowance, so they’re putting on their best customer-service smiles. Their hearts may not be open even a millimeter, but the smiles are still at full strength. I almost wish someone would teach me how to keep things from going well. My allowance is high, so even women who are Type A sometimes invite me into an adult relationship (intimate) as early as the second date, or by the third at the latest. But that’s not because I’m some handsome older guy—in fact, I’m really more of an ugly old guy. It’s simply because my allowance is absurdly high compared with the going rate. That’s all there is to it. To these women, I’m basically a walking Fukuzawa Yukichi, and that’s why this happens. I’ve never once been left on read for a week. Even women whose profiles specifically include a staff note saying, “Her response time is quite slow,” reply to me immediately. Why? Because my allowance is ridiculously high. It’s that simple. How much allowance are you offering? Surely you’re not failing to tell Type B women how much the allowance would be for an adult relationship (intimate), are you? And even if you do tell them, isn’t it Carlos Ghosn—an allowance of 50,000 yen or less? Put your hand over your heart and think about it.
