I end up getting carried away in conversations with men, including my papas, even though I honestly find them incredibly boring. Over time, through jobs where I had to talk with men—not hostess work—and papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I’ve gotten much better at talking to men. I can basically talk to any man for hours. With my papas, I spend three or four hours talking before sex. I’m just talking on autopilot without thinking, and I find it boring as hell, but my papas say they’ve never met a girl who’s this fun to talk to, so apparently they enjoy it. A lot of papas tell me I’m quick-witted or smart, so I guess I’m not the soothing type—I’m just good at keeping the conversation going. Because of that, I’m the type who can keep a dinner-only arrangement going for quite a while.
