I’m jealous of girls whose papas buy them clothes.

I might like buying clothes too… Since I go to the same kinds of places and shops that I visit with my daughter. If I spot something nice while we’re out, I’ll sometimes have the girl pick something out for herself or for me. It might be a shop we happen to pass, or one near wherever we’re going. Young girls seem to look good in anything they wear… They’re so effortlessly stylish, I guess. Compared with the past, clothes seem to cost one fewer digit these days… They’re really cheap. You can enjoy trying things on and make it feel like a date, then buy several outfits for less than the cost of a meal and have fun… It really is an amazing time. I was a little surprised reading everyone’s answers here and realizing, “Oh, it doesn’t necessarily have to be something high-quality!” But since I don’t know how old the person asking is, I think it’s perfectly fine if she’s young. At my age, though, I can’t exactly go around wearing flimsy, cheap clothes. If you’re young, there’s nothing strange about wearing inexpensive clothes, and some people might even think, “I’ll buy her something!” But if you’re a certain age and aren’t dressed appropriately, it can come across as though you’re either expecting someone to buy things for you or not working at all.

There are men with a feminine sensibility—in a good way—who enjoy window-shopping. My former papa (a male supporter) was like that. If you meet a papa like that and show up wearing something flimsy, you might get to go shopping together. I’m not that interested in really expensive clothes, so he sometimes bought me outfits costing up to around ¥10,000 each at Lumine or atre, dressing me up like a paper doll… It was so much fun. We also went to Uniqlo in Ginza, where he bought me a cashmere sweater every season. People have mixed opinions about Uniqlo cashmere, but I liked it because it was easy to wear. My current papa, who’s basically like a yakuza, absolutely hates window-shopping. He says things like, “A man who puts up with a woman taking forever to decide is a fag,” which is crude, but once he decides what he wants, he makes the call instantly and decisively. That’s pretty cool in its own way. So when I go shopping with this papa, I have to browse online beforehand and decide what I want to buy. I’ll send him a screenshot and ask, “What do you think?” He’ll reply, “Looks good,” and then we’ll go to the store together the next time we meet. Honestly, I’d rather window-shop in a more lovey-dovey way, giggling and having fun together.

Papas who enjoy buying clothes usually dress well themselves, and they’ll buy you whatever they’re willing to buy. I’ve had two papas who loved clothes, and it seemed they wanted to dress me in things they liked. Marika
