Would you cut things off if a woman said she wanted to see you more often or hear from you more? We’ve been seeing each other for a long time and have a good relationship.

This is Umino from the staff. I think it ultimately depends on the man. As the other responders have mentioned, he may also start thinking about things like the allowance, so… If you don’t say anything, the current situation probably won’t change. But if you really want to tell him, why not try bringing it up gently? I hope this helps!

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. I’m with Aya on this one! Since dating involves expenses, I think it’s fine as long as it stays within a reasonable range.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here, too. If you said that over LINE or something, I feel like most men would be a little put off. Even in a normal conversation, I think it might make them pull back a bit. That said, if you’re talking about it in bed, it might lead to an exciting conversation where he says, “I’m like that too.” So I feel like many men would be at a loss if you said it seriously. But when the situation is ambiguous and you’re not sure whether he means it seriously, I think it may be okay to share your true feelings in a way that doesn’t sound completely serious. If anything, I think it’s probably safer not to say it. Men probably feel that the current frequency of seeing each other and messaging is ideal, too, so I feel like leaving things as they are is best.

I’m Dai, a male member. When you’ve been seeing someone for a long time, you usually settle into a certain rhythm. I wouldn’t recommend suddenly breaking from that pace. When you meet in person, it’s probably best to ask whether it would be okay to stay in touch more often because you miss them.

I think it’s fine to send more messages saying you want to see him or that you miss him. Let’s stop including phrases like “I want more” or “I want you to contact me.” —Paper Airplane

I’m Aya, a female member. With a monthly arrangement, there’s less risk of being dropped, but with pay-per-meeting, I’m worried that wanting to meet more often might make me seem money-oriented. If you want to increase the number of meetings, I feel a monthly arrangement might be better, but the man may have his own circumstances, so it’s hard to say for sure. If I knew a little more about the situation, I might be able to offer more specific advice. Good luck.

I’m Kazu, a male member. If we click and enjoy each other’s company, I wouldn’t cut things off. If someone directly told me they wanted me to contact them more, I’d probably be put off. It might be better to simply stay in touch regularly.
