I think it’s a good idea to ask her to tell you in detail about her favorite artists. “K-pop” covers so many artists that it’s impossible to name them all…
Personally, I like the Korean rapper pH-1. He’s even collaborated with Enon Kawatani.
Another incredibly cool rapper is Bill STAX, formerly known as Vasco. You should definitely check out his melodic rap.
As for singing-and-dancing groups, ENHYPEN is also great. They were formed through an audition show and are considered BTS’s junior group. The youngest member, Ni-ki, is Japanese. Among the members, I especially like Jay, who looks great in streetwear, and Sunghoon, whose visuals are so flawless he looks like a prince.
For an easy introduction, BTS has a famous song called “Anpanman.” It’s catchy yet cool, so you should definitely give it a listen. It’s basically the Anpanman character made as cool as possible.
