I’m Aya, a female member.
I’ve also heard papas talk up close about buying buildings worth several billion yen or selling their companies for several billion yen. It’s made me increasingly realize that while ¥100 million is a huge amount of money for ordinary people, it’s just another milestone for papas.
So I don’t think that’s an unusual perspective at all. Saving ¥100 million through papa-katsu alone would still be incredible, though.

It’s true that ¥100 million isn’t nearly enough if you’re trying to buy an Airbus A380, so I suppose ¥100 million is a relatively small amount.
(Though since production has already ended, you’d probably have to buy a used one.)
Even if you think, “Well, what about a car instead, since planes are expensive?”:
- Rolls-Royce Boat Tail: approximately ¥3.12 billion
- Rolls-Royce Sweptail: approximately ¥1.456 billion
- Bugatti La Voiture Noire: approximately ¥1.452 billion
- Bugatti Divo: approximately ¥660 million
Apparently, those are the prices. So since you can’t buy them with ¥100 million, I suppose it’s understandable if ¥100 million starts to feel cheap.
Whether ¥100 million feels like a small amount probably depends on what you want and what kind of lifestyle you’re aiming for.
If it feels too little, does that mean you’re planning to aim even higher?
