Did you know that food sent to idols is usually thrown away? It’s a kind thought, of course, but they can’t know what’s inside.
Likewise, if a man who made you an offer says, “Baking cakes is my hobby, so I brought you one,” wouldn’t you feel a little uneasy because you don’t know what’s in it?
I’ve received homemade chocolates a few times, but only give them when the man says he likes sweets and would like to try them.
Some people can’t eat sweets, either.

Rather than being disliked, I tend to get too comfortable and lose the desire to make them like me.
As the saying goes, women are happier when they’re loved, so showing enough composure to make the man pursue you can be one approach.
I’ve received homemade chocolates or sweets at first meetings more than three times, but I’ve even forgotten whether the ones from the early days were homemade or store-bought. They don’t have any particular effect—if anything, they might be slightly counterproductive.

Yes, if you don’t even know what kind of person someone is yet, I’d be put off if they brought me homemade food right away.
I’d wonder if they’d put something strange in it（笑）
and worry about whether it might upset my stomach.
If baking is your hobby, mention it in conversation first.
Only make something for them if the conversation naturally turns into them saying they’d like you to.

If it were me, I’d give him some store-bought sweets at the first meeting—something stylish that adults would enjoy, costing around ¥1,000–¥2,000, and small enough to fit in his bag.
Then, depending on his reaction, I’d mention, “I’m actually good at making chocolates, and I enjoy it.”
If the papa (a male supporter) says, “That sounds nice—I’d love to try some,” I’d bring him some the next time.
That’s probably how I’d handle it.
Some people may find homemade sweets a bit too much on the first meeting, so I think it’s better to feel things out first.

Men are offering to meet women because they want to see them, so I don’t think they’d be put off by minor things. Still, bringing homemade sweets to your very first meeting seems a little risky.
It might be better to say something like, “We got talking about chocolate when we met, so I’ll bring you some next time.”
If she said something like, “I’m really good at tempering chocolate—I’ve even been complimented by professionals,” I’d definitely want to try it. But judging by the celebrity I once saw attempting it on TV, it seems pretty difficult without a lot of practice.
Wait a minute—come to think of it, they were tempering the chocolate on a marble slab on that show. Most households don’t have one of those, do they?
Now that I think about it, getting it to that level might be pretty difficult...
