I have a papa (a male supporter) I see once a week, but I’m married and have children. I’ve been seeing him while keeping that a secret, and lately, continuing to lie has become emotionally exhausting. I do care about my papa, of course. He’s invited me on a trip, but I’m afraid my family will find out, so I can’t go and want to turn him down. However, the plans keep moving forward… What should I do?

I’m Nana Ayase ☆ If you tell Mr. Maezawa, “I live with my parent and take care of them,” I don’t think he’ll find out. Once you’ve told a lie, stick to it until the end. If it gets too hard, you can always quit.

BB7 here. If saying it is all you can do, then leave it at that. You’re better off not doing anything that causes you a lot of stress. You’ll go bald.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here with an answer as well. If lying has started to become difficult for you, I think you should tell the truth. However, there’s a good chance the relationship will end there. If you’d like to continue seeing him, you could say something like: “I live with my parents, and because I have to care for them, I can’t go on trips. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.” That might help you avoid having to travel.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I think it’s best to come out about it. Personally, I think it’s better to be upfront and not engage in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) with lies or secrets—it’s less hassle that way.
