There was a question about how it’s rude to keep making offers the day before, but generally, how far in advance do you usually make or accept offers?
If you’re a male member, please share something like, “I usually do it about 〇 weeks in advance…,” if you’re a female member, “It would be helpful if it were 〇 weeks in advance,” or if you work for an agency, “We often coordinate things about 〇 weeks ahead.” Even just your general sense of what’s typical would be helpful.
Personally, I feel that if the timing is too soon, the date may not work out and it could be difficult for the other person, so I usually make offers with dates at least two weeks out, and sometimes as far as a month in advance. However, I also worry that if the gap is too long, things might lose momentum and the excitement may fade.

It would be really helpful if you could let me know about three time slots when you’re available from around lunchtime through the afternoon, ideally one to two weeks in advance—or sometime this week if possible.
Also, a last-minute offer the day before makes it seem like the other girls turned them down, so they’re just looking for anyone who happens to be available.

If it’s two weeks in advance, it’s easier to work around my schedule—and of course, much easier than arranging it the day before. If it’s the day before, there’s a risk he might think another girl canceled on him at the last minute.

I generally select “*I don’t specify a date or time and will work around the woman’s schedule.”
That alone feels a little too vague, so I usually mention the days and times that work for me and write, “Please let me know your availability for next week or the week after.”

I’m Flagmaker, a column writer.
I ask the women when they’re available and work around their schedules.
If I told them my availability, the dates would overlap. When I send my open dates to several women, they sometimes pick the same day, or I end up having dates several days in a row, which gets exhausting.
