If an entertainer is average-looking—not beautiful, but not unattractive either—I feel they probably wouldn’t be able to survive in that world and would disappear pretty quickly.
But if they’re successful enough to remain in show business, I think they’d be considered “black”—high-end.
(Though I imagine their looks would be above average as well.)
The same goes for athletes. If they’re number one, or close to it, in their field, I think they’d be considered “black.” But if they’re only well known among sports fans and not by the general public, I’m not sure how that would work.
