How should I deal with a P who keeps asking me to hold hands or link arms?

Even just walking beside each other makes it obvious to anyone who notices that something is going on, so why does he openly ask me to hold hands? I often see papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) couples around town, and even just seeing them walk side by side makes me feel so uncomfortable that I want to look away. I’m sure people see me the same way. It’s something you’d naturally want to hide as much as possible—that you’re the kind of woman who can be with some grimy old man like him. How can I explain that to him so he understands? He’s really persistent.
