Even at the same weight, I don’t want to be lumped together with a soft, squishy woman at 30% body fat when I’m lean and sharply toned at 16%. Weight should only be a reference—let us compete based on appearance.
That said, there are men who like soft, squishy women, so it’s a complicated world.

Because men had requested this, about three or four years ago we equipped every branch with scales and tape measures for measuring height.
That said, whether a woman actually steps on the scale is entirely up to her.
When we ask women what they’d prefer, most simply give us their stated weight.
Why don’t we make it mandatory? Men can probably understand if they put themselves in that situation.
Imagine trying to register with Universe Club and being told, “We’ll take your photo, and every woman will be able to see it,” then being asked to step on a scale and display your actual weight.
Wouldn’t a lot of men decide not to join?
Women feel the same way.
If they say, “In that case, I’d rather not join,” wouldn’t that be a shame?
She might even be exactly your type.
That’s why it’s optional.
A true Japanese man shouldn’t worry about the little things.

Maybe it’s because it comes across as too explicit. Since this isn’t a sex-work establishment, making an offer based solely on height, weight, and bust size can make it feel like prostitution… I think there are women and men who are sensitive to that sort of thing.

Kosaka works at our Chiba branch, so I can only speak for the Chiba office, but we do have a scale!
That said, our office isn’t quite spacious enough for us to have a machine for measuring height too, so I might secretly think, “That’s going to be in the way!!”

It seems the branch has a scale. Some women even mention in their profiles that they weighed themselves there.
As for why it’s self-reported, I imagine it’s because people wouldn’t feel comfortable having their bodies measured.
