Do you think Kei Komuro would have dated Mako even if she had been an ordinary woman from a non-royal family? Do you think Komuro truly loves Mako?

I’m Kazu, a male member. If you enjoy that kind of vulgar gossip—like an uneducated neighborhood old woman who loves idle chatter and can only talk about other people’s business—save it for a partner who shares your taste for gossip magazines. Whether there’s love involved or not has absolutely nothing to do with the questioner’s life.

This is Kosaka from the staff! Your question kind of reminds me of that famous commercial, haha: “Hey, ____!! Is there love in it!?” Getting back to the point, honestly, I don’t think someone would move overseas and set up a base of living in advance—or be able to handle the media chasing them—unless there were genuine feelings involved!

I’m Aya, a female member. I can’t really understand Mr. Komuro’s out-there feelings, but after seeing his “Let It Be” videos go viral on TikTok, I’ve started to find him kind of endearing—almost like a mascot. That said, I’d really rather my tax money not be used to pay for his security in New York.

I’m Taro, a male member. I think they were genuinely dating. From an ordinary man’s perspective, being involved with a woman from the Imperial Family probably has more drawbacks than advantages. You can’t exactly approach it casually. But because she was a member of the Imperial Family, neither of them had anywhere to run, and I think that made their feelings for each other grow even stronger. Looks, personality, and sex are important as the entry points, but I believe love is 70% about the story behind it. In their case, that story has probably amplified their feelings tremendously. I hope they’ll be happy.
