By “face-framing hair,” I mean letting strands on both sides of your bangs hang down to about chin length.
Would it be better received if I just left my ears showing?

As long as you look mature enough that the man you’re seeing won’t feel embarrassed walking around with a teenage girl, you should be fine. If you can go into places like HERMÈS without looking out of place, I think you’ll be okay.

Until just recently, I was at a birthday party at a lounge in Nishi-Azabu with some of my papa’s associates. The lounge girls work in their own clothes, and many of them have experience with papa-katsu, but I don’t think I saw anyone with face-framing “antenna” bangs. Most had long, Korean-style hair curled outward. They were all really cute.
That said, even with face-framing bangs, straight black hair is popular with papas, so I think you’ll be fine. I get the impression that many men don’t care about the hairstyle as long as you look beautiful and refined.
