I don’t actually know from personal experience, but just listening to women talk about it should give you an idea of how demanding it is.
When you think about it that way, simply having shorter hair might allow someone to make better use of about two hours a day. That may be a slight exaggeration, though.
If you want to impose your personal preference, let’s say the allowance for a regular date is ¥50,000 and you spend about three hours together. That works out to roughly ¥16,600 per hour.
Even if we count the time you’re not together at half that rate:
2 hours × 30 days × ¥8,300 = ¥498,000 per month
So I feel that saying, “I’ll pay you ¥500,000 every month, so please keep your hair long,” would be the price of imposing your preference on her.
If you can’t go that far, I think you should stop trying to force your personal taste on someone else.
If she decides that short hair doesn’t suit her, she’ll grow it out again. I think the best thing to do is simply watch over her warmly in the meantime.
