Female members can send reverse offers to male respondents they like by emailing the administrator to express their interest. Male members can learn which female members are interested in them by answering questions and sharing their opinions.

If I become a member of Universe, can I search for female members nationwide? Are new female members added every day?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa answers:
As you said, women from all over Japan can browse and search as well. Men in Tokyo can also make offers to women in Okinawa, for example.
In that case, the man would need to cover the woman’s round-trip airfare and hotel accommodation where she can stay on her own, separately from the allowance. It’s also possible to arrange the meeting in Tokyo, provided the woman is okay with traveling from far away.
New women are added every day, and their profiles appe…

I’m a homemaker in my 20s considering applying. I currently have a two-year-old and a newborn, and I’d like to do this while my children are at daycare. Does having young children put me at a disadvantage in various ways?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa answers.
> Is having a young child really a disadvantage in various ways?
There are two ways in which it can be a disadvantage.
First, some men prefer women without children because, even if the relationship becomes long-term, traveling together can be difficult—someone would have to look after the child while you’re away. So that may work against you.
That said, if the man isn’t looking for a long-term relationship, I don’t think it will be much of a disadvantage…

I’m a male member. After meeting a female member at an event, the staff later sent me her name and other details, so I viewed her profile. We exchanged LINE at the event and have already made plans to have dinner, but she’s also sent me a reverse offer. Does this mean that female members aren’t told the club names of male members, or did she send reverse offers so frantically that she accidentally clicked “Sounds great!” on my profile? ...

I heard that you need to provide your address when signing up with a dating club. Do they occasionally send postcards to your home? I’d appreciate your answers.
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
Unless a member specifically requests it, Universe generally doesn’t send mail to members.
By “request,” I mean special cases such as asking for a paper receipt to be issued and mailed.
As for why they need your address, I believe it’s because the club needs to properly verify your ID and keep your address on file to discourage members from doing anything illegal.
Knowing that the club has their address may deter people from misbehaving—and if they do, legal…

I was the one who asked whether there are any male members in their 20s. There are only a handful, but they do exist. Of course, are they mostly business owners or doctors rather than ordinary people?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa answers:
My impression is that, even among people in their 20s, incomes don’t differ all that much from those of people in other age groups.
Their occupations vary, but based on their reported annual incomes (and these are only self-reported), some people in their 20s earn over ¥100 million a year, while others earn around ¥10 million.

I saw on Twitter that someone registered with this club received an offer from a man the same age. I’m a woman in my mid-to-late 20s, though I haven’t listed my exact age. Are there male members in their 20s as well?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
We do have a few male members in their 20s, but only a handful.
Fewer than 40 out of 3,000 members...
Since there are so few of them, I think the chances of receiving an offer from a man in his 20s are extremely low.

💬 Answer from 逢沢 大和:

At the moment, event announcements are sent to women through our dedicated LINE account and distributed to men by email.
We’re planning to complete a website specifically for events soon. It will be accessible from the members’ site, so afterward, you’ll be able to check the details there!!

Even in your 20s, would you be refused membership if you’re enrolled in an online high school?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
Unfortunately, high school students are not allowed to join, regardless of their age.
Legally, there’s no issue as long as they’re 18 or older, and anyone 20 or older is an adult and considered old enough to take responsibility. So, in principle, there shouldn’t be a problem.
I do think it might be reasonable to allow high school students aged 20 or older to join, but we’re taking a cautious approach and have decided not to allow it.

I'm considering registering with a dating club. I used to work at an advertising agency and previously did business with several dating clubs. Does Universe Club outsource advertising placements, SEO, or similar work to outside agencies?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):

So, because you used to work at an advertising agency, you’re worried it would be embarrassing if Universe hired that company and recognized you, right?
In that case, you may receive fewer offers, but why not try registering with blurred photos?

💬 Answer from 逢沢 大和:
Aizawa from the Events Team here.
We’ve held one fairly large party in the Kansai area before, but I believe this is the first event of this scale in the Kanto area.
This will be more of a party and social gathering rather than a date arrangement, but we’re doing our best to make it a refreshing experience where you can connect with people you don’t normally get to meet.
We hope you’ll join us if you’re interested! And we’d greatly appreciate your honest feedback.

Former member here. My membership expired around September last year, and I never renewed it. However, while I was still regularly receiving information about LSE and other services, I started getting withdrawal symptoms. Would it be possible to become a member again? In that case, would I need to register through an interview again?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
As long as you didn’t cause any problems with other members, you can rejoin at any time.
However, the rules may have changed since you were previously a member, so you’ll need to meet with us in person for an explanation before rejoining.
That said, since you left last September and it’s only been six months, I recommend contacting the branch directly to ask whether you can rejoin without another interview.

I’m a female member. Can male members tell whether I’ve received offers from other men?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
Male members aren’t able to see whether other men have made offers to a woman.
That said, some men are curious about the number of offers, so we do get questions asking how many she has received. However, our internal policy is not to disclose the number of offers.
When someone asks a vague question like whether the number is high or low, though, staff may interpret the rule as, “We can’t give the exact number, but maybe we can say whether it’s a lot or not,”…

> Women who work at places like hostess clubs are in the food and beverage industry.
This is where things get confusing: people who work at family restaurants, for example, may also be listed as working in the food and beverage industry.
So, on rare occasions, men misunderstand and say, “She works in the nightlife business, right?” But most of these women aren’t in the nightlife business—they genuinely work in the food and beverage industry.

💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here with an answer.
I think some women have also chosen to remove the blur partway through.
As for whether you’ll receive more offers, your profile generally gets the most attention right after you register, and offers tend to decrease over time.
So even if you remove the blur now, I imagine you might receive around one offer a month. Even if the number does actually increase, I’m not sure you’d necessarily notice a significant difference.

Thank you for saying, “Thank you for the dating club!”
As for what kind of advertising we’re currently running, I imagine someone from the advertising team will be able to answer that.

If you feel you can’t trust it, you’re better off not trusting it. Everything comes with risks.
Check things for yourself, understand both the risks and the benefits, and then decide what to do. That’s the basic approach.

Just to add:
Normally, if you blur the profile photo, men who are considering making an offer can view an unblurred photo. However, if a woman requests that even men seriously considering an offer not be shown anything other than the blurred photo, then:

I’m a male member in my 60s, and I’m enjoying receiving offers through reverse offers. It’s great meeting women I had overlooked before. By the way, I regularly update my profile’s appeal section, but can women see when it was most recently updated? Do women who passed on me once ever get another chance to take a look? Haha
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
> Can women see when a profile was last updated?
They can’t see the exact date of the last update, but just like women’s profiles, the listings are sorted with the most recently updated ones first.
So, if you change something in your appeal section, your profile will appear higher in search results. Although the last update date isn’t displayed, the change in listing order is apparently designed to serve as a way to draw attention to your profile.
