I’m Maezawa from the President’s Office, and I’ll answer this too.
My guess is that the woman they originally planned to meet either caught COVID, became a close contact, or had to cancel at the last minute for some other reason, so they urgently started looking for someone else.
Since it was the day before, they probably made phone calls rather than contacting people through LINE, thinking there wouldn’t be enough time otherwise.
So it likely went something like this:
Woman A: “Tomorrow will be difficult.” → No
Woman B: “I’m sorry, but I already have plans tomorrow.” → No
Woman C: “Even if you ask me suddenly, couldn’t you have contacted me a little earlier?” → No
Woman D: “I could make it if we moved it back an hour. Would that be okay?” → On hold → Once the questioner was chosen: “Sorry, they said the time couldn’t be changed.”
Woman E: “Tomorrow will be difficult.” → No
Questioner: “That’s fine.” → Confirmed with the man → Once he agreed, they informed the questioner that she had been chosen.
I imagine it went something like that.
I don’t know whether the questioner was actually okay with it, but one thing is certain: the man wasn’t treating her as anyone special.

I’m Dai, a male member.
So you received a call asking whether you were available for an offer tomorrow?
It was probably not because you’re being treated as a VIP, but simply because they contacted you by phone since the offer was made the day before.

I don’t think that’s the case.
