Maezawa from the President’s Office here, answering as well.
For a letter date, once you show the club a screenshot of your initial exchange, Universe’s role in arranging things is complete.
After that, it’s up to the two of you, so you’re free to decline.
In the first place, if a man asks about the terms of the relationship right away, he’s basically saying that he doesn’t have to meet you if the terms don’t work for him. I assume he’s prepared for that possibility when he asks.
You can simply reply, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think our terms are a match,” and leave it at that. I don’t think there’s any problem with doing so.

I’m a male member, Paper Airplane.
It’s perfectly fine to decline.
One advantage is that both sides can make a decision without meeting in person.
That said, I’ve never discussed the terms before meeting through a letter date, so if a woman asked me about them, I’d probably turn her down. In that case, I’d either ask what she was looking for and give terms that would make her stop responding, or simply not arrange a meeting.

If it’s dinner only, wouldn’t that be okay?
If you really don’t want to, just say no. Even men wouldn’t enjoy having a meal with a woman who was forced to meet them and couldn’t smile at all.

You asked about the terms before meeting her, right? In that case, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with turning her down.
Personally, I’ve never discussed the terms by email when arranging a letter date, so I generally don’t end things without meeting at least once.
