That said, unless you go shopping for them together, it might be hard to know where to find older items.
Even if she isn’t put off, though, she may think it’s an unusual hobby. If that bothers you, it might be better to choose something else.

Hmm, I think it really depends on your relationship with him. If you’re fairly close, you probably talk about your hobbies, too, and he may find it more interesting, unique, and cute than something from a luxury brand. So I think it’s worth mentioning.
Once, I went to a drugstore with my papa (a male supporter), and I was looking at shampoo that was normally outside my price range. Later, it was delivered to my home as a surprise.
I was so happy that I immediately took a photo and sent him a thank-you message on LINE. It made me happy to feel like he really paid attention to me. A papa (a male supporter) who understands that I don’t just want a designer handbag would be wonderful.
