It’s not just emojis, you know(笑)
He sends such cute, expressive stickers.
The way he desperately tries to win me over somehow is adorable.
If he doesn’t send any, I start thinking, “Huh? Is he mad?”
Find yourself a papa you can forgive. It’s so cute, it makes me want to hug him ♡♡♡

Of course it’s creepy, but you’re sending it because you don’t realize that, right?
It’s such an obvious thing, so I’m like, “Why are you asking this now?”
If it were a girl who had just started papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) last month, I might—giving her the benefit of the doubt—let that question slide… though I’m not even sure what exactly would be okay about it.

I’m Fuu, a column writer.
I guess he’s sending them because he doesn’t realize it himself. Are you talking about the papa (a male supporter) in your question?
The respondents here are around that age or older, but they don’t use emojis in their answers, do they? I’m probably the only one who does—about as much as Fuu does ^_^ ← that much, anyway(笑)
If you find it creepy and dislike it, why not tell your papa directly that it makes you uncomfortable? If he’s understanding, he may stop. If not, it might be the end of the relationship.
Being honest about your true feelings is difficult. In relationships, sometimes it’s better to soften things or, if it’s not a big deal, find ways to stop letting it bother you. That kind of approach may help things go more smoothly.

I’m aware of that, so I don’t send anything until the woman messages me first.
But women do send me things like:
> Heart-eye emojis and kissing-face emojis
Lots of Type A girls use them too…

I don’t think it means anything in particular.
As I believe I mentioned before, when flip phones first became popular, men didn’t use emojis at all, while women used them a lot.
Back then, sending a message without emojis was practically seen as, “What are you thinking?” So everyone desperately started using them.
Times have changed now, but some men are still using emojis the way they did back then.
In the first place, emojis were something people learned to soften messages because plain text could seem scary or make it sound like you were angry when you weren’t.
So I think you could either look at it with a little kindness or gently teach him.
You’ve also learned various things from adults and at school to become who you are today, so perhaps this time, you could be the one to teach him.

I think they can do it because they’re not aware of how they come across. I haven’t met many like that myself, but I’m sure there are some papas like that. In papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), only the women who can put on a smile and go along with that creepiness end up making serious money.
