I’ve met several men who don’t like turning off the lights and who stare closely at me down there, complimenting me by saying things like, “It’s pink—so pretty.”
Skin can become darker from friction, but the vagina is a mucous membrane, right?
Can mucous membranes become darker too?
Does the inside of the mouth also become darker as you age, even if you just can’t see it…?
When I first met someone like that, I thought, “He must have read too much erotic manga, lol,” but since I’ve met several men who said it, I started wondering whether some people really are darker down there.
Please share what you know or have experienced.

I’ve never noticed anyone’s color getting darker over time, so basically, I don’t think it gets darker.
That said, everyone’s coloring is different. Maybe it’s determined by something during childhood development, but I don’t know what.
Come to think of it, I once heard that some doctor took lots of photos of that area for research and published them in a book.
(It apparently caused controversy because it was considered obscene?)
If I could see the book, I might find out what color is most common—but that also depends on whether the photos were in color, I suppose.

Apparently, mine is clean, and if I keep my legs together, my crotch looks like the number 1.

I think it may simply be a matter of body chemistry.
People tell me I’m attractive for my age. I’ve never asked them myself—several people have said it to me, so I assume it must be true.
I don’t think you need to worry about having sex too often.

Rather than the vagina itself, the labia minora are often darker. Mucous membranes can also become darker from friction. The parts of the labia that protrude may rub against underwear and become more deeply colored.
Pigmentation can even occur inside the mouth.
