I’m Fuu, a column writer. There’s a section on your profile for private photos, so if you have photos saved as data, you can upload them to your profile. However, as Maezawa-san mentioned, photos taken by the club are generally displayed first, and male members have to click a separate button to view the private photos. If the private photos look too good—heavily edited, unusually slim, with unrealistically flawless skin or huge eyes—I’ll think, “She’s really done a lot of work on these,” lol. I completely understand wanting to look your best, but overdoing it may give male members a worse impression, so be careful.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here. As a rule, we use photos taken during the interview. I’m a little concerned by the phrase “another company’s studio,” but if the photos were taken at a regular photography studio and the copyright has been properly cleared, we may be able to use them. It seems people don’t think much about copyright issues. In the past, a woman liked a photo taken at Universe, brought it to another dating club or something similar, and had it posted there, which ended up causing a problem. The copyright belongs to the person who took the photo, while the portrait rights belong to the person photographed. Just because you appear in a photo doesn’t necessarily mean you’re free to use it however you want. So, if the photo is copyright-cleared—at photography studios, part of the fee may cover the fact that they won’t assert copyright—and hasn’t been retouched, we may be able to post it. Conversely, if it was taken at a studio where retouching is assumed, we’ll have to decline even if you bring the photo to us.

I’m Kazu, a male member. https://universe-club.jp/help/questions/view/5281 Normally, no, that’s not allowed. It’s not mentioned in the answer here, but there are also copyright and usage- permission issues to consider.
