Do you think moles detract from beauty?

Maezawa from the CEO’s Office here. Thanks for your question. I don’t think it really matters whether you have a mole or not. Compared with everything else, it’s probably not something people notice that much. I feel like what matters more is what’s on the inside. That said, if you’re personally bothered by it, I think having it removed might be better for your peace of mind. I’ve heard it can be done for around ¥20,000–¥30,000 these days. However, if you go to a cosmetic surgery clinic, they may say, “Would you like to have anything else done besides the mole?” Apparently, that can end up costing a lot more. So I’ve heard it’s better to go to a hospital that won’t push additional treatments.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. Recently, I’ve met two women who had moles removed. One had several moles removed from her face. The other had moles removed from places other than her face, such as her neck and shoulders. With the woman who removed the moles from her face, I feel like her overall look has changed slightly, and her appeal has changed a little too. It feels like something is missing… almost as if she would have been better off leaving them alone. Of course, she was bothered by them and is presumably happy with her decision, but still… With the woman who removed moles from areas other than her face, I don’t notice any change or anything unusual at all. A lot of celebrities and politicians have facial moles, too. Maybe they’ve become part of their individuality. Unless a mole is particularly large, I feel like there’s no need to worry about it that much… But do they really bother you that much?
