I’m a male member. Do individual branches have quotas, like “registering a certain number of Black-level women each month”? When I look at their photos, I often can’t understand why they’re classified as Black. Or are they actually very attractive when you meet them in person?

Maezawa from Shacho-shitsu here. Thank you for your question. It largely comes down to the subjective judgment of the staff member who conducted the interview, so from that staff member’s perspective, she may have been considered “Black.” However, as you mentioned, there can be a significant gap between that assessment and how the members perceive her. As a result, some women receive no offers because they’ve been placed in the wrong class. In my case, whenever there seemed to be little chance of receiving an offer, I would lower my class and respond flexibly. Even so, there were times when I kept waiting, thinking, “Maybe just a little longer.” If no offer came in despite waiting, I sometimes felt bad that I had made her spend that much time waiting. On the other hand, when I lowered someone’s class after about two weeks because I wanted to make a quick decision, offers would start coming in one after another. Then I’d wonder whether the class one level down had actually been the right fit, or whether I had simply acted too soon and an offer might have come in if I’d waited a little longer. So, from the staff’s perspective, a genuinely attractive woman may be considered “Black,” but I get the sense that this doesn’t necessarily mean every male member will see her the same way.

I’m Kazu, a male member. From what I’ve gathered talking with the staff, there don’t seem to be any quotas, but they do seem to feel some pressure when, for example, no Black-class women have registered yet that month. That said, I don’t think they’re forcing women into the Black class. If they did, the complaints would come back to them. Sometimes I look at a woman’s photos and can’t understand why she’s been placed in the Black class. Even after making an offer and meeting her while still feeling that way, I still couldn’t understand it. I think that’s simply because the class ranking isn’t something that can be evaluated quantitatively; there’s a lot of room for subjective judgment—in fact, it may be almost entirely subjective.

I’m Taro, a male member. I think deciding what kind of woman you’re attracted to is an extremely personal matter. But some people lack confidence in their own judgment and gain a sense of satisfaction from securing women who are popular by society’s standards. I have my own thoughts on which approach is better, but I’ll refrain from saying. It’s the questioner’s judgment, and it should be respected 100%. In the end, the issue is whether you judge a “good woman” by your own standards or by the standards of Universe (roughly speaking, society’s opinion). If it’s the latter, congratulations on upgrading to Black. If it’s the former, welcome, fellow traveler（笑). There are plenty of wonderful women who aren’t Black. And even with Black, you can end up getting hurt by money-obsessed women who act all high and mighty. It would be wonderful to build a really great relationship with someone like that and become so happy that you could practically show it off to them. Personally, I’d hate to see you waste an opportunity like that. But ultimately, which path you take is up to you. I’m not trying to start a revolution either, so as long as it doesn’t concern me, I don’t really care which way you go. In that sense, I suppose I’m neutral（笑.

Regardless of class, I’d recommend making offers directly to the women you’re personally attracted to and feel you’d be compatible with. > Or are they actually very appealing when you meet them in person? You’re the one who feels the attraction, and you’re also the one who brings out their best qualities. Only make offers to women you genuinely find appealing.
