He never does anything I dislike, strokes my head, and tells me “You’re cute” and “You’re beautiful” at least 10 times every time we meet… Do you all get to meet such wonderful papas? Being treated so kindly must feel amazing. Even if he wasn’t your type, you could still open up to him, right? Ah, I’m so jealous. I wish I could meet someone who would treat me that kindly. His nails are long and they hurt, and he tries to go further even when I’m not ready, so I’m just ridiculous for putting up with it all the time.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here as well. Thank you for your question. > He never does anything I dislike, strokes my head, and tells me “You’re cute” or “You’re beautiful” at least ten times every time we meet… Do all of you really meet such wonderful papas? What makes a papa wonderful differs from person to person, but I’d say probably only around 25% of them are truly wonderful. Although rather than saying “only 25%,” perhaps it’s better to say that as many as 25% are. That means if you receive offers from four men, there’s a good chance you’ll meet someone wonderful. Of course, the ratio isn’t everything—you could receive an offer from just one person and still meet a wonderful man. As for stroking your head every time you meet, men probably won’t do that unless they know whether the woman actually likes it. So I think you need to mention during the date that you’d be happy if he stroked your head. A man who wants to do things that make his partner happy will probably do it. Saying “You’re cute” or “You’re beautiful” is something Japanese men generally aren’t very good at. For some reason, the idea that you shouldn’t say what you’re thinking out loud is deeply rooted in Japan. I’m not sure why. That’s why a certain number of women want to date foreign men. In many other countries, there’s a culture of prioritizing women, and saying out loud that someone is cute or beautiful is considered perfectly natural. Women often say they like that aspect. Japanese men who can do this are probably popular with women, but most men find it difficult to say these things. I think it’s best to assume that’s simply how Japanese men are. But if you want him to say those things, tell him repeatedly—for example, “If you think I’m cute, I’d love it if you told me every time we met.” Since he’s meeting you because he likes you, he’ll probably gradually start saying it more often. > His fingernails are long and hurt. He probably just hasn’t noticed. Point it out to him at the time. The next time you meet, check his nails. If they’re still too long, go to a convenience store together, buy some nail clippers, and cut them for him in his room. He may simply not realize unless you tell him. Or perhaps he does cut them, but dislikes cutting them too short and thinks the current length is already short enough. You could gently say something like, “It hurts there, so I’m going to cut them a little shorter. Please bear with me,” and cut them for him. If you repeat things like, “I’d be happy if they were about this short next time,” the nail problem will probably be resolved. > He often tries to put it in even though I’m not wet yet. He’s probably the type who wants to get started right away. Since he sounds like someone who only cares about his own pleasure, I think you’d be better off looking for another man. But I assume you’re putting up with it because you can’t find someone else right away. In that case, ask him to get some lubricant. If he asks where to buy it, you can tell him that places like Matsumoto Kiyoshi or Don Quijote sell it. Online, there are also small, single-use packets of lubricant in packaging similar to condoms, so you could suggest those. If he still won’t buy any after you ask, you could buy some yourself and bring it with you. I’m Papercraft, a male member. Women receiving an allowance often find it difficult to ask for exactly what they want—and difficult to be completely honest, too. Men should understand that drawing out what a woman truly wants isn’t easy. Men are creatures prone to assumptions and misunderstandings, so you’re not the only one who’s been putting up with things. I hope you eventually meet a gentleman who will fulfill your wishes.

I believe a relationship should be enjoyable and beneficial for both people. If you’re feeling pain or unable to get aroused, why not be honest and talk about it instead of forcing yourself? I don’t think all men are that forceful, and he may be willing to improve.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I think not forcing someone to do something they dislike is simply common decency. But do women generally like having their heads patted? In a previous exchange with Mac, we discussed how whether someone likes having their head patted might depend on whether their parents did that when they were growing up. Until then, I assumed that because I don’t like having my own head touched, other people probably didn’t like having their hair touched either. I do like head spas, though(笑) Come to think of it, the other day, my partner complimented me by saying, “It doesn’t hurt when you use your fingers on me. You’re really good.” I think avoiding contact with the fingernails is just basic common sense, but if that’s worth praising out of the blue, does that mean a lot of people don’t do it properly? Whenever I hear about men trying to go ahead even when the woman isn’t sufficiently aroused, I wonder about it. If a woman isn’t wet enough, I start to feel as though the skin around my frenulum is being pulled, and it seems like it would hurt, so I stop. Do other men have iron frenulums or something…? I don’t pat women’s heads, but I don’t force anyone to do anything they dislike. I don’t think I’ve ever made my partners endure pain either. My partners have been able to meet someone like that. Ah, maybe that’s why all the women I meet are so kind to me. P.S. I think “don’t force someone to do something they dislike” is the right way to put it. They may dislike intercourse itself but put up with it for the allowance, so I added “force.” I’d probably be able to tell, at least somewhat, if they were reluctantly going along with it. And I’m not turned on by making someone do something they don’t want to do, so I don’t think I’ve made anyone do that. P.P.S. Women do sometimes touch my head, but they notice when I look uncomfortable and stop right away. In other words, what people dislike differs from person to person. People judge whether something might be unpleasant based on themselves. I suppose that’s what this comes down to. If a man doesn’t feel pain when he goes ahead even when the woman isn’t wet enough, or when his fingernails make contact, he may simply do it without thinking. Maybe some men just lack imagination and consideration. There also seem to be people who think, “I’m paying, so let me do whatever I want.” I’d like to tell them, “You’d lose your temper if a customer treated you that way,”(笑).
