I’m a platinum male member in Kansai, but I feel the three Kansai branches are far behind not only Tokyo but also Nagoya when it comes to the quality of the women. Is it just a matter of personal taste, or are there fewer applicants? I also feel that the Kansai branches tend to assign women to higher classes than the other branches. What do you think?

Maezawa from the President’s Office here—I’ll answer this one too. Thanks for your question. Nagoya does have a lot of lovely women. (笑) That said, I think the “quality” of women you’re referring to may actually be a matter of perspective. If you compare women in the same class, it’s possible the difference isn’t as large as it seems. Perhaps because Tokyo gets so many female applicants, the standards for each class are set more strictly: - A woman who would be Platinum at another branch is Gold in Tokyo. - A woman who would be Gold at another branch is Standard in Tokyo. - A woman who would be Standard at another branch might fail the interview in Tokyo. Of course, it also varies depending on the staff member conducting the interview, so I’m only talking about general tendencies. So, when you look at the Gold women in Tokyo and think the women at other branches seem better, it may simply be because you’re comparing them to Tokyo’s Gold class. Looking at the overall picture, I don’t think the ratio of women differs that much. Maybe things would be different if other branches rejected women as aggressively as Tokyo does. But even some of the women who were rejected probably would have received offers, so sometimes I wonder why they reject them at all. If they registered, they might get offers. However, when I see questions like this, I wonder if the staff reject more and more women because they don’t want to hear comments like that, and want male members to say, “This branch only has beautiful women.” In reality, people say the same thing about Tokyo—that the quality has declined compared with the past. (In fact, the standards have become stricter, so the level has actually improved considerably.) In the end, men simply get used to what they see, and their eyes become more discerning. I think that’s all it is. With that in mind, I think Tokyo would be better off registering a few more women overall, but there may not be many staff members who recognize that. Staff outside Tokyo do seem to notice it, though. (笑)

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. Yeah, yeah—but once you say that, it’s all over. You should be grateful that they even have a branch in Kansai. Even so, I’m sure you can find women who satisfy you, so keep looking. P.S. Looking at it objectively, women from the Tokyo area are often placed in a higher class when they move to Kansai, so you may be upgraded as well, which could make you a little more satisfied.

I’m Tetsu, a male member. I’m registered with a branch in the Kanto area, but I actually feel the opposite. The grass always looks greener on the other side, after all. I agree that Nagoya looks appealing, though (lol). Maybe I’ve just checked out the women registered at nearby branches so often that they no longer feel fresh.
