I went on a date with a man about a week ago.

During the date, he kept coughing loudly, had a terrible runny nose, and clearly seemed to be feeling unwell. His coughing was so bad that simply being around him felt like I might catch a virus. Since we were already on a date, I felt uncomfortable saying, “I’m going home because I might catch your cold,” and it was a very unpleasant experience. In the end, I came down with a cold a few days later, so I can’t help feeling like he passed it on to me. I can’t prove for certain that I caught it from him, but especially at this time of year, I really feel that anyone who isn’t feeling well should reschedule for another day.
