Whether he gives a generous allowance If I had to answer your question specifically: With a small or midsize business owner, the company’s accounting may not be very well managed, so he might buy things as business expenses and ultimately give them to the woman as gifts. There’s also a possibility that he could formally hire her through the company—under a contractor agreement, providing consulting or mental-care services to the CEO, for example—and pay her monthly allowance as a salary.
