I only registered about a month ago, but I have a question about reshooting.
When you reshoot, do you take a new video as well as new photos?
I remember feeling completely exhausted from the nerves and embarrassment during my first video shoot, so if possible, I’d prefer to skip the video shoot this time. Would it be okay to make such a request?
If the policy differs by branch, I would appreciate hearing from staff members at as many branches as possible.
Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well.
It is possible not to record a video when retaking your profile. If you let them know, they should be able to take photos only.
However…
Men usually first look through the photos and choose women they find appealing. They then watch the videos to decide whether to make an offer.
If a woman doesn’t have a video, men may end up making offers to women who do.
You might think it would be fine to use the previous video, but if the outfit in the photos is different from the one in the video, or the staff member’s hairstyle has changed, it may feel a little strange.
It’s still better than having no video at all, but…
For that reason, I think it would be better to record a new video as well.
The way videos are filmed varies by branch. If you don’t like the interview-style format where you answer questions, you could ask them to make it a self-introduction video or request another approach.
That said, the branch uses this format because they believe it gets the best response from men, so they may not agree.
