A man has been persistently stalking me. What should I do if he has already left the club?

As a club, we would prefer to issue a direct warning and resolve the matter that way, but if he has already left and simply responds, “You have no right to say anything to me,” there is little we can do. I’ve heard that the police are willing to take stalking cases seriously after someone has been killed, but even so, they generally don’t take action until an actual incident has occurred.
