Maezawa here. It depends on the severity of the mental illness. If the staff determine that it could interfere with dating or cause problems for the male customer, you may not be accepted. For example, if you’ve only seen a doctor at some point, you may still be able to register. However, if you already have a disability certificate, they may decide not to accept you—even if you function normally in everyday life—because they may worry that something could happen during a date. To be sure, please contact the branch where you had your interview and ask whether you were accepted.
